Google has expanded access to its advanced AI-powered video generation tool, Veo 3, making it available to more countries and mobile users through the Gemini app, the company announced this week.
Previously limited to subscribers of the Google AI Ultra plan in select regions, Veo 3 is now accessible to Gemini Pro subscribers via mobile platforms. Users on this plan receive a 10-pack of trial video generations to test the tool’s capabilities.
Veo 3 allows users to create high-quality videos directly from text prompts, integrating elements like dialogue, background audio and music. It represents a significant upgrade from its predecessor, Veo 2, offering more immersive and cinematic outputs powered by advanced generative models.
To address authenticity concerns, all content generated by Veo 3 includes SynthID, a watermarking technology developed by Google DeepMind. Additionally, all videos — except those created with Google’s AI filmmaking tool, Flow, under the Ultra plan — include visible watermarks.
Google said the AI Ultra plan, which provides full access to Veo 3, is now available in 73 countries. The company plans to continue expanding access globally.
Veo 3 is not yet available in India. However, industry observers expect a broader rollout in the coming months as Google seeks to bring more of its AI tools to emerging markets.
